The Estate Mortgage Court System, through its flexible design requirements, had many features that had not previously been included in courtroom automation.

These features included:

• Streamlined Courtroom Materials Handling
  Instead of the need for multiple applications to access each different type of material on the court system, the Estate Mortgage Court System relied on a single application. To facilitate the use of the materials links increased the accessibility of all information.

• Private Technology
  The ability to combine private and public services through a single infrastructure allowed each participant to customise the facility to meet their individual requirements.

• Remote Access to all Technology Services
  Being able to access all technology services remotely allowed a practicioner who, in traditional cases, would be restricted to the hearing room, to work outside the hearing room and still be able to monitor proceedings.
